Please Note: Upon the recommendation of friends, neighbors, and customers, we happily pass along information regarding youth programs that focus on specific sports and provide positive life lessons.
For girls ages ten to fourteen interested in lacrosse, we wish to introduce you to the Lake Winnipesaukee Lacrosse Camp (a.k.a. Winni Girls’ Lax Camp).
When: Sunday, August 20 - Thursday, August 24
Where: Black Island at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH
THE DAILY RUNDOWN
Each day at camp begins with stepping out of your cabin to take in Lake Winnipesaukee’s breathtaking island-side views.
After a nutritious 8:00 AM breakfast with cabin mates and camp staff, campers will head to the lacrosse field for approximately two hours of training and lacrosse skills sessions with coaches who harbor lifelong love of the sport.
At 11:00 AM, the campers head to the Lake Winnipesaukee waterfront. They may swim and participate in Spikeball, Kan Jam, Baggo, and ping pong games while hanging with their old and new friends.
At noon, lunch is served in the picturesque dining hall for lunch. Campers enjoy some rest and relaxation from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM until returning to the field for two hours of Team Training.
During Team Training, groups of six players are matched with a single coach who works on position-specific skills such as clearing, riding, finishing, and set plays.
A delicious dinner is served from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM, followed by an hour of relaxation.
On-field tournament games where teams compete for the “Winni Lax Title” run from approximately 6:30 PM until Shower Time at 8:00 PM.
There is still time for an evening activity, such as a scavenger hunt, movie night, or Campfire Karaoke, before Lights Out at 10:00 PM.
THE CAMP DIRECTORS
Becca Brady, M.Ed.
Becca is a seasoned math teacher, head girls’ lacrosse coach at Plymouth North (MA), head coach, and Director of High School Operations at Aces Lacrosse Club. In high school, Brady was a standout soccer and girls’ lacrosse player for the Plymouth North Blue Eagles.
“Lacrosse has brought so much joy into my life that I jumped at the opportunity to grow the game in one of New England’s most beautiful camp locations. As much as I love the game, I also love sharing it and fostering the same love in the upcoming generations of lacrosse players”.
Travis Dupuis, M.Ed., S.P.E
Travis is a Special Educator, MIAA Certified Coach, Assistant Camp Director, and father of two daughters. As a passionate lax player, he actively participates in adult lacrosse leagues. In terms of the game itself, he remains focused on varsity girls’ athletics and the further development of quality coaching, including camp-based experiences for girl athletes.
“Extending my impact as an educator and positive mentor through coaching, especially throughout my community on the South Shore of Massachusetts, is a part of my life that is not only important to me but incredibly rewarding. I feel so fortunate to live out my dream as an educator, director, and coach, with the end of August hands down being my absolute favorite time of the year!”
