In addition to the many winter sports such as ice skating, skiing, basketball and tennis, this time of year is a great time to tune up for the upcoming spring lacrosse season. As strong advocates for exercise, physical activity, education, and good sportsmanship, THE GOOD SPORT regularly recognizes local youth sports organizations that promote these all important life lessons.
If your children are interested in learning the game of lacrosse, we highly recommend the SCOOPS Lacrosse Program run by standout high school and college lacrosse player, and Cohasset Hall of Fame inductee, Matt Belson.
SCOOPS Lacrosse has a single goal, to help kids to be better players, teammates, and individuals on and off the field. Participants have tons and tons of fun while learning the fundamentals of lacrosse.
For those interested in learning lacrosse basics, the SCOOPS Winter Clinic is an excellent introduction to the game. The six-week clinic is designed to ensure the game of lacrosse is learned the correct way.
